Mathematical models for metric features extraction from RGB-D sensor

چکیده
The use of the RGB-D camera has been applied in several fields science. That popularization is due to emergence technologies such as Intel® RealSense™ D400 series. However, despite actual demand from some potential users, few studies concern characterization these sensors for object measurements. Our study sought estimate models dealing with calculating area and length between targets or points within RGB depth images. An experiment was set up white cardboard fixed on a flat surface colored pins. We measured distance by average pixels belonging target area. Information Criterion AIC BIC associated R2 were performed select best models. Polynomial power regression reached highest coefficient determination smallest values BIC.

Enhancing Metric Perception with RGB-D Camera
Metric measurement of environment has fundamental role in tasks such as interior design and plant maintenance. Conventional methods for these tasks suffer from high development cost or unstability. We propose a mobile metric perception enhancement system which focuses on interactivity through user locomotion. The proposed system overlays geometric annotations in real-time on a tablet device. Th...
متن کاملCombining Models from Multiple Sources for RGB-D Scene Recognition
Depth can complement RGB with useful cues about object volumes and scene layout. However, RGB-D image datasets are still too small for directly training deep convolutional neural networks (CNNs), in contrast to the massive monomodal RGB datasets. Previous works in RGB-D recognition typically combine two separate networks for RGB and depth data, pretrained with a large RGB dataset and then fine ...
متن کاملReconstructing Articulated Rigged Models from RGB-D Videos
Although commercial and open-source software exist to reconstruct a static object from a sequence recorded with an RGB-D sensor, there is a lack of tools that build rigged models of articulated objects that deform realistically and can be used for tracking or animation. In this work, we fill this gap and propose a method that creates a fully rigged model of an articulated object from depth data...
متن کاملCapture de mouvements humains par capteurs RGB-D. (Capture human motions by RGB-D sensor )
Simultaneous apparition of depth and color sensors and super-realtime skeleton detection algorithms led to a surge of new research in Human Motion Capture. This feature is a key part of Human-Machine Interaction. But the applicative context of those new technologies is voluntary, fronto-parallel interaction with the sensor, which allowed the designers certain approximations and requires a speci...
متن کاملToF/RGB Sensor Fusion for 3-D Endoscopy
Acquisition of 3-D anatomical structure in minimally invasive surgery is an important step towards intra-operative guidance. In this context, the rst prototype of a Time-of-Flight/RGB endoscope was engineered for simultaneous range and color data acquisition. Intrinsic and stereo camera calibration are essential to achieve an intuitive visualization of colored surfaces. Due to the early prototy...
